CADSTAR received a peer review by Wikipedia editors, which is now archived. It may contain ideas you can use to improve this article. |
The comments about "Cadstar works with its sister software E³.series, an electrical design tool by CIM-Team GmbH, A Zuken Company."
are incomplete - they mean nothing and link to nothing. As they are not part of Cadstar but an add-on I suspect that these are just advertising ploys by a Zuken employee.
I will remove them until they can be completed correctly.
Edit: The Additional modules is also a direct marketing ploy, there should be no mention of Quadra Solutions!
I have removed the line ", such as starturn, marketed by Quadra Solutions." as this is forbidden by this Wiki FAQ

I have also amended the latest version to current & moved the library editor down in the list of modules as it's importance is lower than Schematic & PCB layout.

I have adl BML for the new 3D Solution —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.27.254.177 (talk) 21:48, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
Cadstar Express and the Design viewer are versions of Cadstar providing users free use of the program with limitations, these have been added for completeness of the article. Readers can find them by following the links to the Zuken webpage. The "Additional Modules" section does not even list any additional modules, it only said they exist. This is basically pointless and has been removed until they can be identified.
The CR5000 link does not actually have anything to do with Cadstar and is just a link to another product made by Zuken and should really be removed.

I think this page needs a lot more information about CADSTAR in it, I'll see what I can dig out and update the pages. I'll see what the guidelines on wiki pages are & then update these pages. Cadstar_User (talk) 21:47, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Modifications to the page.
[edit]At the request of the WIKI bods this page has been edited so that it does not appear as an advert.
"Scalable solution" has been removed as it is sales speak. External links have been removed - only the manufacturers site needs to be linked to if at all. "spice simulation" removed as CADSTAR does not do any spice simulation itself but relies on 3rd party software. "It also features internet-accessible libraries of more than 250,000 parts." as it is not nessasary and not part of the software itself.
- E³.logic Integrated with CADSTAR, E³.logic is an alternative schematic capture solution based on Zuken’s E³.series [1].
Because this is not part of CADSTAR. The CADSTAR FPGA module reference is also under scrutiny as it is not part of the standard package, as is BoardModeler Light - these are additional programs that can work in conjunction with CADSTAR bot not part of the design suite itself.
Mofified "Library Editor" module.
Several other modules have been rewritten so as the be more neutral and not sound like advertisments. The CR5000 reference has been removed (AGAIN!).
Will Zuken/CADSTAR resellers please stop editing this page as and advert for CADSTAR. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cadstar User (talk • contribs) 12:31, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
Modified current version - it is CADSTAR 14.0 and has not been called CADSTAR for windows for many years. "for windows" is no longer part of it's title. Cadstar_User (talk) 21:47, 20 March 2013 (UTC)
The current version comment has been removed - by placing this there it adds a responsibility to change it every time there is a new version released - this is unnecessary.82.69.52.234 (talk) 15:31, 27 May 2015 (UTC) As has the link to Quadra been removed (again?) as it linked to nothing. 82.69.52.234 (talk) 15:31, 27 May 2015 (UTC)
