Cagayan River, not Cagayan de Oro River...

[edit]

There no such river as Cagayan de Oro River in Northern Mindanao, the name of the river that ends at Cagayan de Oro City is Cagayan River. I think we should change the name of the article from Cagayan de Oro River to Cagayan River (Cagayan de Oro). Okay? -- Kleomarlo (talk) 07:54, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think it is but proper to use Cagayan de Oro River to distinguish it from the Cagayan River in Luzon. Better yet, use the old river name, Kalambagohan. The Cagayan name has always caused some confusion. Until now some people think that Cagayan de Oro (City) and Cagayan (Province) is the same place. The Cagayan de Oro postal office sometimes receive letters addressed to Cagayan Province. VisitCDO (talk) 07:23, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
