Hey there, it's been great to work together in the past and I will review this article today! --K. Peake 07:07, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! I never did understand why it had to wait so long since it is quite a strong article, lol.--NØ 08:00, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@MaranoFan: Yes it definitely is, although there are not many GA reviewers at the moment. I'm more than happy to have taken this on myself, always a pleasure to work with you! --K. Peake 09:38, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox and lead

[edit]
  • Infobox looks good!
  • "Rodrigo wrote it with" → "Rodrigo co-wrote the song with"
  • ""Can't Catch Me Now" has lyrics" → "the song has lyrics"
  • Pipe Music critics to Music journalism
  • "The song received awards and nominations," → "The song received several awards and nominations,"
  • ""Can't Catch Me Now" debuted at" → "the song debuted at"
  • Wikilink music video
  • Add a mention of Kelly Clarkson's cover version at the end since this is notable for the lead

Background

[edit]
  • Retitle to Background and release
  • Img looks good mostly, although shouldn't it be aligned to the left per current overlap with the infobox?
  • I've heard some people say an image should be on the side where the person in it faces the text, and a left placement here would create a slight MOS:SANDWICH
  • First para looks good!
  • [9] should be invoked after the "character work" quote instead of the end of the sentence
  • Should the prose say movie or film character per this being American English?
  • Seems like Americans have a preference for "movie character" based on a Google search, which is what is already used here.
  • "playing a clip of" → "playing a short clip of" for full context
  • Mention the date of the 7-inch vinyl release

Composition

[edit]
  • Retitle to Composition and lyrics
  • Wikilink acoustic guitar on the audio sample text
  • "Dan Nigro produced and" → "Nigro produced and"
  • "bass, mellotron; Paul Cartwright" → "bass, and Mellotron; and Paul Cartwright"
  • The "and" before Paul Cartwright would be unnecessary since Roan is the last item in the list.
  • "final lyric with "an open, unresolved cadence" according" → "final line with "an open, unresolved cadence", according"
  • "they would not be captured by the latter:" this seems unclear; shouldn't it be something like "would not be able to capture them"?
  • "Rodrigo then sings the lyric "Coming like a storm into your town"," → "Rodrigo then sings "Come in like a storm into your town","

Critical reception

[edit]
  • [34][8][35] should be in numerical order
  • Re-invoke the American Songwriter ref at the end of the first sentence quoting this review
  • "it also felt natural to her" → "it also felt natural of her" to avoid confusion here
  • The NME ref should be invoked after "haunting" instead
  • [28][8] should be in numerical order
  • "and some others described the" → "and others described the"
  • Make a separate sub-section for the accolades
  • Add a comma after 96th Academy Awards

Commercial performance

[edit]
  • First para looks good!
  • "received a gold certification in" → "received gold certifications in"

Music video

[edit]
  • Wikilink music video
  • [34][32] should be in numerical order

Live performances and other usage

[edit]
  • Regarding the first live performance, add a mention of how Rodrigo introduced the song with her mention of its presence in the film
  • Do you mean Rodrigo saying "So, has anybody watched The Hunger Games? I was super lucky because this year I got a chance to write a song for the movie that's out now"? I don't think it adds much to readers' understanding and we should probably try to be limited with how we use quotes.
  • "reprised it on" → "reprised the song on"
  • Shouldn't you mention the musicians and singers were in the shadows?
  • [73][74] should both be invoked after the info on the performance setting but only [73] after the Billboard comments; same issue arises for Billboard at the Kelly Clarkson cover
  • "included it on" → "included the song on"
  • Add the mention of Clarkson's backing vocalist and instrumentalists

Credits and personnel

[edit]
  • Capitalize Mellotron

Charts

[edit]

Weekly charts

[edit]
  • The archive url for the Austria chart does not display the song's position

Year-end charts

[edit]

Certifications

[edit]
  • I cannot find the Polish certification on search
  • It shows up on searching "Rodrigo" for me instead of the song name. But I am not sure how to change the notice in the template to reflect this.

Release history

[edit]
  • The United States release date is not backed up by the source

References

[edit]
  • Copyvio score looks pretty good at 32.4%; ignore the 62.5% since this is not matching with anything
  • Ref 23 needs a publisher
  • Add url-access registration to ref 27
  • This one? I am able to access it without registration.
  • What exactly makes Next Best Picture a reliable source on ref 42; it seems to solely consist of contributors?
  • Star TribuneMinnesota Star Tribune with the wikilink on ref 75

Final comments and verdict

[edit]
  • @MaranoFan: Thanks for this response quickly yourself and that really means a lot, I am definitely honoured to have taken this on for ya!!! You still need to fix the instances using lyric where they should not be that I pointed out in the comp section, add registration to ref 27 since I am seeing that as a non subscriber and regarding the "Coming like" line, you should either change to "Come in like" per the source or add a note to reflect this is shown in the lyric video. Always nice to work with you of course! --K. Peake 20:33, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thank you for highlighting these! All of the others should be fixed, but I can't add registration to ref 27 since I can see it without having to get a subscription. This parameter is supposed to indicate the least amount of effort a source can be viewed with, and this one is visible to some people without having to do anything so it should be left empty.--NØ 04:42, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
