Cannabis possession in Mexico

[edit]

Hi everyone just a quick question for all of you in the know on this subject. I am going on holiday from the u.k to Mexico 2018 and as a smoker I am wondering where if any place i will be able to get cannabis either off the street or medical marijuana? I really don't want to get arrested or in trouble for trying to purchase it? At the moment I take loads of meds for pain controlled drugs included will I be able to visit a dispensary being on holiday or is it just for citizens of Mexico? Driving myself insane....... thanks to all in advance hope to hear from you soon!! Rebecca :) Bexminster (talk) 22:20, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

File:ManifestacionContraLeySeguridadInterior ohs010.jpg lives in the Commons category. Should we add this to the article somehow? ---Another Believer (Talk) 23:23, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Update: I see the image has been added, but without a caption. Do we know what's happening here? ---Another Believer (Talk) 00:30, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong picture

[edit]

Your picture "Marijuana field in Mexico" is showing a wheat or corn field, not a marijuana field. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.55.24.4 (talk) 18:13, 12 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Supreme Court struck down prohibition

[edit]
  • BBC: "Mexico's Supreme Court has decriminalised the private recreational use of cannabis by adults, calling the current prohibition unconstitutional." [1]
  • La Prensa Latina: " the Supreme Court on Monday issued an historic ruling lifting the prohibition on the recreational use of pot in Mexico although selling it is still a crime." [2]

Mexico Supreme Court struck down prohibition today. Details pending. ☆ Bri (talk) 00:35, 29 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
