[edit]I remember as a child in the early 1970s that these things were then called "Caramello Bear".
Don't know when this changed.

The article is incorrect when it says "...Caramello Koala was introduced in Australia in 1966. It was reputedly the first mass marketed confection to be modelled on Australian fauna..."
They were always known as Caramello Bears in the 1970s in Australia, and it wasn't (from memory) until the 1980s that the name was changed to Caramello Koalas. 124.149.121.200 (talk) 13:35, 9 October 2008 (UTC) |
