Please, registered users, do something with the photos

[edit]

I mean nobody was there? The castle is now beautifully restored and looks nothing like the photos. No registered user from Romania or Hungary has any current photos to upload? I visited the town last month and was shocked to see the years old photos, which look nothing like it looks today. I am even thinking of registering on Wiki just to edit the photos here, but surely someone can do this, who is from the region.

More is not better

[edit]

Since this is the ENGLISH section of the Wikipedia, I'll discuss this in English, even though the issue I'm trying to address here is caused by the Romanian (and possibly Hungarian) persons editing this page.

This is supposed to be a scholarly description of Carei and its history. This is not a place for disseminating subversive ideas. There is enough chauvinistic propaganda going on in the regional media, the last thing Wikipedia needs is to become the ground of a political dispute. Refrain from a liberal use of adjectives and avoid jumping to conclusions and/or insinuating things such as "the poor Romanian peasantry was abused by the evil Hungarian nobility". Stick to the facts, they and only they will show the truth.

But not just any facts. Filling the article with superfluous (and erroneous) information will not make it better. Here more is not always better except when talking about accuracy. And that, sadly, is mostly lacking.

And if you take it upon yourselves to edit an English page, try to make sure that your contributions are at least grammatically (if not historically) accurate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.214.254.65 (talk) 07:14, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
