sub-articles Dufourkarte (de:Dufourkarte), Siegfriedkarte (de:Siegfriedkarte), National Maps of Switzerland (de:Landeskarte der Schweiz) could be split off. dab () 13:37, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Done. See Dufour Map, Siegfried Map, National Maps of Switzerland, and see also Atlas Suisse. When I have some time, I will also do some copy editing of the article attached to this talk page, including migrating some of its contents to the new pages. Galleries

[edit]

I like the additions to the article, but do not agree with the deletion of the maps from the old article. I re-inserted them. Electionworld Talk? 12:57, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Galleries 2

[edit]

There is no consensus that these galleries cannot be in this kind of articles. Stop deleting them without finding support for your position. Electionworld Talk? 22:41, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I reverted you per Wikipedia:Galleries. Your gallery is completely at home at commons:Maps_of_Switzerland. As you may or may not have noted, this article does contain galleries of notable maps, i.e. of Early Modern maps of Switzerland, and of samples of the National Map of Switzerland. If you upload more notable examples, I agree there may well be a small gallery of the Dufour and Siegfried maps each, which will be encyclopedic because these are notable maps. dab () 07:57, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
