Number of helicopters

[edit]

"Cash and Landrum counted 23 helicopters," Please investigate what military entity can marshall that many ChinNuck helicopters in such a sort period of time. None! 69.121.230.58 (talk) 00:59, 14 August 2018 (UTC) Moved to new section. RobP (talk) 16:03, 11 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Lacking citations

[edit]

I am appalled at the lack of citations for the many claims made in this article. I have added inline CN flags as needed, as well as section flags. RobP (talk) 18:20, 11 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Referenced source contains erroneous date

[edit]

Re: "Colloff, Pamela (December 31, 1969). "Close Encounters of the Lone Star Kind". Texas Monthly" (currently Reference #20). The Texas Monthly article does indeed indicate "December 31, 1969" in the byline, but that is 11 years prior to the Cash-Landrum incident! Ms. Colloff has informed me by e-mail that she thinks she actually wrote the article "during the very short period of time when I was freelancing for Texas Monthly, which was late 1996 and early 1997, but that is just a guess," and Texas Monthly indicated no plan to add a corrective notation to their page. Perhaps this date error warrants the addition of a corrective "Note" in the Wiki article. 2603:9000:EB00:BA7:8DA2:E901:8670:B11A (talk) 21:46, 27 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have added such a notation in two places.SaucerDown (talk) 16:16, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
