Making the page about Milestone Group rather than Catenae Innovation
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. Some or all of the changes may be promotional in tone. |
I would like to request the following changes to be made to the Catenae Innovation page:
1) rename it to Milestone Group and 2) Create a New Page for Catenae Innovation which sets out this new (2 years old) company.
Rationale: all of the content on the current Catenae Innovation page is about Milestone Group. When Catenae Innovation was created 2 years ago, it wasn't just a company name change, it was an entirely new direction for the company. Catenae Innovation is isn't a company built on the back of newspapers etc in the way that Milestone Group was. And so for clarity, the page current should renamed Milestone Group (its original name) and a new Catenae Innovation page to be created. There is no issue with the pages being linked.
I am requesting this is done and for clarity, full disclosure, I work for the marketing agency employed by Catenae Innovation. Catenae have been advised by shareholders (and the City) that the current page is factually incorrect and misleading and it needs to be changed. The proposed changes below are hopefully clear. I have declared this on my Talk page.
Current Catenae Innovation page
Intro copy to be changed to read: "Milestone Group was a British Digital Media company. Originally a cross media proprietor with holdings in radio, publishing and television, the company then focused on the digital media. The company was based in London."
Box on right hand side to be changed as following:
Top: change Catenae Innovation PLC to: "Milestone group PLC"
All content in the box to remain the same except: Traded as AIM: CTEA should be "Traded as: AIM:MSG
Remove the URL, Milestone Group no longer have a URL
Everything else on the page to remain as is.

- Hi ClientManagement, and thank you for your suggestions. I am declining your edit request for several reasons:
- Typically, Wikipedia articles about a company cover the company's entire history, not withstanding the renaming, rebranding, or restructuring of the company. Wikipedia is not brand management. We don't delete corporate history just because it is so old that the PR office no longer cares to talk about it. Furthermore, Catanae Innovation stated in its own press release that it was "renamed" from Milestone Group PLC.[1] Thus, I see no reason to split the article.
- Your proposed text is too promotional and does not adhere to Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising, marketing or public relations, but the purpose of your proposed text is clearly to place Catenae's products in the best possible light. The text emphasizes that the products are GPDR compliant and easy to use, hence the promotional effect. Wikipedia should not be offering warranties such as "Data entered on Catenae’s blockchain-based systems can never be fraudulently tampered with."
- You need to properly format your references as in-line citations. Just listing a bunch of external links at the end doesn't tell the reader which source supports which sentence in the article. It also helps reviewers like me fact-check your claims.
- For these reasons, this edit request is Not done. Best, Altamel (talk) 04:57, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
