Rename??

[edit]

I believe that either Chennai Metro (on lines of Delhi Metro and Calcutta Metro) or Chennai Underground (on lines of London Underground) would be a better title in terms of searchability. I suggest moving it to Chennai Metro and making Chennai Underground a re-direct. Waiting for comments, --Gurubrahma 15:39, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Chennai underground? I don't think there's anything like that, yet. AFIK, Chennai suburban railway is how this system is refered to and MRTS refers to another system built in recent times and connects with this system. Definitely, these two refer to different entities. If at all, we merge this, Chennai suburban railway can be retained as the title as it refers to the bigger and older portion of the network. However, the areas covered are no longer suburbs alone. I'm confused between what is more appropriate and what is more commonly used. Hmm ... -- Sundar \talk \contribs 10:32, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with what Sundar has said. It is never called as a metro. Both the systems are entirely different. They need not be merged.--Raghu 13:24, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
As per the discussion above, I am withdrawing the merge proposed below, but adding that article in the "See also" section. trust that's ok. --Gurubrahma 19:17, 11 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
