Globalize tag - let's grow this article

[edit]

I've added some stats I could find on adoption of Chinese children to the US. I can add US stats for each FY from 1991 to 2005 and I'd like to do that at some point, because it really shows the jump in numbers of adoptions which, I believe, are due to the involvement of the CCAA as the central authority that coordinates the adoptions. But I hope that others can add stats for each country that can adopt from China. I want this article to have a much more global view. If anyone can add more, especially as it relates to the 15 countries other than the US, please do.

I don't want this to just be about International Adoption. I'd also like to see sections on domestic Chinese adoption and the Chinese Social Welfare Institues as they are the CCAAs other two areas of responsibility. Then, the things I've added about adoption specifically to the US would (and I feel should) be only a small part of the article. Thanks. --EarthPerson 19:03, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

https://www.jstor.org/stable/4149233?seq=1 Adoption and Essentialism This article talks about the impact that the adoption process has on Chinese girls, especially after the One Child Policy. I think this information would be very beneficial to this article. Lenoradickson (talk) 02:22, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
