What taxon name should be used for Chiniquodontoidea? "Superfamily" seems way off.

[edit]

At this time the classification box for Chiniquodontoidea calls it a superfamily.

Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Chordata Clade: Synapsida Order: Therapsida Clade: Cynodontia Clade: Probainognathia Superfamily: Chiniquodontoidea

If one follows the taxa from Homo sapiens sapiens all the way up this "Superfamily" has underneath it the various variants of class, order, and family, nmost notably the superfamily Hominoidea.

Accordingly, while I have no idea what to call a division/group at this level in the hierarchy I am confident that "superfamily" is incorrect and certain that it is avoidably confusing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.22.62.189 (talk) 05:15, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I cannot find any published source which uses Chiniquodontoidea in the sense presented in this cladogram. In fact, as far as I can tell the only contexts where this taxon name is used in this sense are on this Wikipedia article and in the positioning of a label in Mikko's Phylogeny Archive.
