The Week

[edit]

Does anyone happen to know, whether issues of Cockburn's "The Week" have been conserved for posterity somewhere? If so, I'd be grateful for hints which library one could turn to, in order to get the opportunity to look at some of the old issues.87.155.125.121 (talk) 09:48, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Andrés Nin

[edit]

There is a current section saying this:

Specifically, to undermine anti-Stalinist factions on the Republican side, Cockburn falsely reported that the anti-Stalinist figurehead Andrés Nin, who had been tortured and executed by the NKVD, was alive and well after escaping to fascist territory.

The citation is to Orwell's Homage to Catalonia. I have searched the book and cannot find any reference to this at all. Can anyone quote the actual passage? Thomas Peardew (talk) 15:40, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
