Please clarify seasons in Ecuador

[edit]

The paragraph

The dry season (summer) runs from June to September and the wet season (winter) is from October to May. As Ecuador is in the southern hemisphere, June to Sept. is winter, and winter is generally the dry season in warm climates. spring, winter, and fall are generally the "wet seasons" while summer is the dry {with exception of the first month of fall being dry.}

Makes absolutely no sense. I can't even explain why it makes no sense; my brain hurts just trying to read it. Can someone please explain the general dates for "winter" and "summer" in Ecuador? And if the dates vary from region to region, can someone please explain it is simple language? Cwgmpls (talk) 12:22, 21 June 2014 (UTC) I dont know where to comment, so I truy this.[reply]

The Koppen climate map is totally wrong. It appears automatically generated and is total bogus. Example: In the North East is a red zone, indicating a desert in an area with 3000+mm of rainfall per year. Most info is wrong but I dont have time to explain. This example should be enough TAKE THIS MAP OUT! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dr. Daan Vreugdenhil (talkcontribs) 16:26, 20 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
