Removed Image

[edit]

I removed the 'My drink' image for the drink's main placeholder; it should not be there (anymore) Since the drink has it's name back. Sparky-sama (talk) 10:10, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Revision

[edit]

I just revised much of the article. It reads much better, and contains some new information revealed to me during my visit with Jamey Kirby (founder/senior partner of Cocaine) on April 23rd. I also got rid of some information which I found to be downright absurd...it was completely faulty, unbased information about the drink being called "Banned", which it never was.

or is it called 'No Name' now? 19:32, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

It was definitely called Cocaine, then No name in the US. I bought it when it was called No Name. I checked the online store today and only see it called "Cocaine", changed to "Spicy" and "Mild" flavors. I see in the article that it is changed/being changed to "Censored" and see nothing about it on the site. If they called it "censored" after no name, I think it was before they went back to "Cocaine". 68.160.143.175 (talk) 23:26, 11 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article Quality

[edit]

We need to work on this article's quality. For lack of a better term, it sucks. The article should be deleted, but I'll keep it for the sake of it being a controversal topic. --CanesOL79 15:05, 31 October 2006 (UTC) This drink does contain dextrose... I don't know what this guy is talking about, dextrose is what the drink is known for...[reply]

Wait. This article, no matter however much it may or may not be teh suxxor, is information that someone will find useful. That means that it should be improved, not deleted out of laziness. I for one am going to help improve it.--The4sword 18:35, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
I just added a source for the new logo as hosted on the drink's offical website. HalcyonicParagon 05:16, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Why was my source just taken away? Was it not reliable enough? HalcyonicParagon 15:22, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I just did a major revision. LuminousNerd

Trivia

[edit]

I am adding a trivia on the daily show. ---vonurb 23:22, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Which is the official web site?

[edit]

Can anybody give a citation for either of these being the product's official web site?

  • hxxp://www.drinkcocaine.com/
  • hxxp://www.cocaine-drink.com/

Found this statement by the owner of Redux Beverages
"www.cocaine-drink.com is run by a sleeze-ball who is riding on the back of our name. The official Cocaine Energy Drink is at www.drinkcocaine.com.
We are currently filling a lawsuit against www.cocaine-drink.com. Stay tuned for more information."

I just want to know...

[edit]

....what's in the drink that makes your throat burn. No info on this provided on the website.

67.86.73.161 04:49, 2 January 2007 (UTC) John[reply]

we put an ingredient that is a derivitive of pepper concentrate in it to give that effect

Don't do it. I bought the sample pack while it was "no name". Unless you're going to chug it, it's not worth it. It has this aftertaste that tastes like ass smells. The cut version was really good, though. I guess it's called "mild" now. 68.160.143.175 (talk) 23:29, 11 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Image Verification

[edit]

I found an image to use, but I need verification. Please help!--The4sword 19:09, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

A question   this image is mostly text, but presenting it as an image makes it less accessible (e.g. to screen readers and search engines), so wouldn't it make more sense to change this to a table and place that in the article instead? - RedWordSmith 07:38, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Done. --Damian Yerrick (talk | stalk) 01:17, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
But done very poorly (no offense). Someone do it better; I've no idea how to work with tables in Wikipedia :(

The Controversy

[edit]

They're pissed because it's named after a drug. Aren't we forgetting what Coca-Cola is technically named after? Cyberia23 21:09, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It might not be germane. Coca-Cola appears to have been grandfathered into the current system as a fanciful trademark, just as not all Snapple products have apple juice. --Damian Yerrick (talk | stalk) 21:22, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"no longer on shelves in the U.S.A."

[edit]

I just bought a couple cans of this yesterday.

We should move the page to Censored(drink) (Cyb3rdemon 00:29, 13 June 2007 (UTC))[reply]

No, we should not. It is not, and never was, called Censored (neither was it called Banned). I do not know where whoever wrote that got their information. However, we could set up a redirect for the article "Insert Name Here:". The confusion of the problem is, the drink is being marketed as Cocaine in Europe and as Insert Name Here: in the states.

I've got a new name for it: I Can't Believe It's Not Cocaine!

There should be no redirect. It started as Cocaine, and it is now Cocaine. The only other name I know for a fact that it had is "No Name", which had the website www.drinknonameshop.com, which is now shut down. I bought it from (in the US) them with that name, so it definitely existed. That can was WAY cooler than the new cans. As far as I know, it was never marketed as "Insert Name Here". It said that on the can, but it was *called* No Name. I think you just confused what the can says with its name. 68.160.143.175 (talk) 23:33, 11 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Australian State

[edit]

Can anyone give a source on the Australian law (145mg/L), there are many drinks stocked in shelves with double that. 58.174.32.236 06:29, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

available in australia in the first week of november 2008?

[edit]

it is now january 2009 and i haven't seen it being sold anywhere in australia —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kozmic sk8r (talkcontribs) 00:01, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It probably is only in a few stores or something. It's just like how I haven't seen it being sold anywhere in NE in the US, but I know people here said they bought it in the US in stores, so it must be sold somewhere. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.160.143.175 (talk) 23:35, 11 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Confusing Opening Sentence

[edit]

At the beginning of the article, is mentions that the drink is highly caffeinated, then says "It contains less caffine the rival energy drink Red Bull, symbolized by three and a half steer heads on the label.". It contains 3.5x the caffeine of Red Bull, which the latter part of the sentence suggests, but then the first half seems to contradict this. 99.192.110.143 (talk) 14:56, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
