Merger proposal
[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- The result of this discussion was an agreement to merge Vigna caracalla into Cochliasanthus. Ninjatacoshell (talk) 15:32, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
I propose that Vigna caracalla be merged into Cochliasanthus because Cochliasanthus caracalla is the currently-accepted name [1].Ninjatacoshell (talk) 18:11, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
- Support - For the above reason. Ninjatacoshell (talk) 18:11, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
- Support - I am not a botanist, but this seems reasonable to me. Invertzoo (talk) 15:40, 29 November 2013 (UTC)

Two Articles in One?
[edit]It seems this article is about both Cochliasanthus caracalla and Phaseolus giganteus/Vigna speciosa, even though it claims to only be about the former. Doesn't the content on the latter deserve to be its own article? Ackqwattikk Phfisch (talk) 18:40, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
- I would agree with this.
- "Cochliasanthus caracalla" and "Phaseolus giganteus" are clearly different enough!
- This page is super confusing to read. Symphanticade (talk) 20:03, 30 March 2023 (UTC)
Conflicting Information!
[edit]1. One section states: "The purple, non-fragrant, invasive flowers of the "Phaseolus giganteus" are..." 2. Another section states: "The snail vine, Phaseolus giganteus, is delightfully fragrant."
This needs to be fixed. Symphanticade (talk) 20:01, 30 March 2023 (UTC)
