In Medicine

[edit]

The name cocktail has been used for mixtures of pharmaceuticals, not only the mixture of antiretroviral drugs. A typical example being the Brompton cocktail.

But also mixtures of supplements like Myers' cocktail, which is not considered a pharmaceutical.

The names are usually defined by the person who formulated the cocktail or a reference to the place it was originally thought up or used. The name cocktail is of course a reference to the social drink.

I'm going to be bold and update the disambiguation page to reflect the more general use of "cocktail" to mean a mixture of drugs. --Mark Asread 19:20, 29 January 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mark Asread (talkcontribs)

In Movies

[edit]

Does Bryan Brown's character, Doug Coughlin, merit mention in the movie following Tom Cruise? For example, "Tom Cruise and Bryan Brown"? Gauzeandchess (talk) 09:35, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
