range?

[edit]

range? -Ravedave (talk) 15:19, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, that's a good question: what is its range, as in where does it live, geographically speaking (counties, states, countries, etc.). Also, what is its conservation status? Shanoman (talk) 01:53, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, User:IvanTortuga, for contributing the conservation status. As for its range, we know it is found in Michigan, Chesapeake Bay, Delaware, Maryland, and more generally, the Eastern United States and North America. I think what we would really like to know is whether or not it is found in Minnesota and Kansas, and if so, where more specifically (Northern MN; Southern KS; etc.). I think I've spotted one where I live in east central KS, but I'm not positive that it may be another species. Shanoman (talk) 09:08, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Being a resident of North Central Kansas, I'm quite sure it's around here. I've seen it at Jamestown Wildlife Area and Kanopolis Lake...Smarkflea (talk) 20:35, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
