DEC related
[edit]Decnet, another routed protocol used CLNS,and this make me suspect that the OSI group acquired this technolog from dEC. Someday, someone should read more on its history and credit DEC, if they infact were the initiators. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wk muriithi (talk • contribs) 12:26, 15 June 2006.
- Perhaps you are thinking of IS-IS, a routing protocol developed by DEC (and used in DECnet phase V) that DEC contributed to the ISO to route CLNS? I have added a note regarding DEC's contribution of IS-IS to the article.

IP over CLNP and other stuff
[edit]I would quite like to add some reference to RFC 3147 ( well I wrote it :-) ) I could also talk about the automatic encapsulation that the ITU-T did, the fact the IS-IS was modified into Integrated IS-IS, the fact that CLNP CLNS is still used by air traffic control systems. Then there is the OSI stack in NetBSD and the Isode stuff as well.... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dieselnutjob (talk • contribs) 12:29, 10 December 2006 (UTC).
