what does "outrunning the constable." mean? (The language in this article is so loose it outran my patience) 24.28.17.231 (talk) 00:12, 5 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. It appears to be a bad translation from a non-English text. I would fix it, but I don't know much about the subject. class="autosigned">— Preceding unsigned Terry Thorgaard (talk) 18:20, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nevertheless, I have done so. I made gramatical changes only, with the excepiton of changing one sentence in " Allied arrangements before taking Vera Cruz", which now reads "The Spanish naval blockade of Vera Cruz should not in any case affect the French maritime commerce". the "not" was added. If this results in an incorrect statement, someone please change it back. Terry Thorgaard (talk) 19:00, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the help folks. This article is definitely getting better. Lajbi Holla @ meCP 12:48, 7 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
