Style of countess Eloise

[edit]

In the Netherlands, aristocrats with the rank of a count(ess) do have the prefix "hooggeboren heer/vrouwe" ("highborn lord/lady") and not "Her Excellency".

The full name is: Eloise Sophie Beatrix Laurence van Oranje-Nassau van Amsberg.

The title and predicate are: Countess of Orange-Nassau, Jonkvrouwe van Amsberg.

The prefix is: Highborn lady.

Why is the Countess Eloise not a Princess of The Netherlands ? Her father's marriage was approved by the government and its normal for male-descendents of Sovereign of enjoy the style of royal highness and the title of princess. In fact the Queen Juliana allowed Princess Margariet's children (female-line descendent) to be styled as princess and with style of Highness.

Objection to deletion

[edit]

I object to this deletion due to the importance of this person: she is a full member of the Dutch Royal House and 6th person in the line of succession to the Dutch Throne. She is definitely not some sort of marginal person. Demophon (talk) 03:34, 24 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
