I know that most sources give 820 students, but that was for the 2005 - 2006 school year. I have put in the current enrollment for THIS year (2007 - 2008) and have provided a valid reference

This article is growing and is undergoing massive expansion! Cullman High School has gained an enormous amount of students for the upcoming 2008 - 2009 school year, and many factors make it worthy of an extraordinary WP article! I have included several resources, added in-depth information of history, courses offered, etc. We need more images, information on clubs, community outreach, success rate, the Laptop Initiative, etc. Please help out if you can!

Band

[edit]

This entire article seems to have a lot of uncited claims (many links do not lead to information related to the cited passage) but the band section is particularly troublesome.

  • "The band has received numerous honors, both state and national, such as the Sudler Trophy and for achieving superior ratings and a championship at the National Band Adjudications in Cincinatti, Ohio." According to the provided wikilink, the Sudler Trophy is for college bands and the Sudler Shield is for high school bands. The web site of the John Phillip Sousa Foundation, which awards the Sudler Shield, does not list Cullman High as a recipient. I can't find any web hits for the "National Band Adjudication" although there is a National Music Adjudication Coalition with a band section, but no mention of championships.
  • "he Cullman Indoor Drumline competes in both the Southeastern Color Guard Circuit (SCGC), where the drumline has always finished in the top 6, and in Winter Guard International (WGI) on the national level." Again, i can't find any sources online to verify these statements.

The tone of the section sounds like boosterism and needs to stick to encyclopedic facts. It is possible that this section can be expanded into a seperate Wikipedia article.Wkharrisjr (talk) 00:30, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
