Hello, Thank you for your contributions to the page for Daniel H. Lowenstein (physician). However, you should be aware that some of your contributions do not appear to adhere to Wikipedia's style guidelines (see WP:MOS, and also WP:BLP). In particular, remember that everything described on a page should be attributable to sources published elsewhere. Thus, material that is TRUE but has not been published in appropriately reliable sources (see WP:RS, WP:V) is not eligible for Wikipedia (even though it is true). Similarly, Wikipedia seeks to maintain a neutral point of view WP:NPOV and avoid "puffery". Thus, I'm wondering about material such as the following:
  • Can you supply external references to some of the claims that you added, such as Dr. Lowenstein's participation on the select committee of 5 educational leaders?
  • Or his recruitment to Harvard by a particular individual (Joseph Martin)?
  • Can you supply external references for claims that "Dr. Lowenstein's abilities as a teacher are the subject of legend on the UCSF campus."
These and various other statements that you added may be true, but if they cannot be documented from external sources, they are not appropriate for Wikipedia, and may be removed. To avoid reversal of your hard work, please look at the Wikipedia content that you added in light of the WP:MOS requirements, and modify it as needed to conform to those requirements.
Thank you again for your efforts to improve Wikipedia. -- Health Researcher (talk) 22:13, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
