Re: Speedy Deletion Tag

[edit]

The city of Methuen, Massachusetts identifies Nevins as one of three "Methuen city fathers" after whom it has named its historic district.[1]. That certainly makes this article ineligible for speedy deletion. The article should exist as a bio stub until it can be fleshed out. - House of Scandal (talk) 08:50, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the info. You may have a point. The problem I have is the sheer quantity of pages you are creating - 90% of which are redirects to Nevin related articles. (I'm not sure that Wikipedia will regard that as good practice). As a suggestion, it might be a better idea to hold fire and fill out some of the Nevin and Methuen related pages which you have created rather than make any more redirects? Respectfully, you may need to bone up on policy a bit. The redirects are appropriate because they prevent someone from accidentally creating an article about the same topic when they see a red link. PS - His wife's article is in my Sandbox. I'll post it on August 4th because I don't like to flood DYK with related articles made the same day. - House of Scandal (talk) 08:59, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You may well be right. But I have asked an admin to look see just in case. Setwisohi (talk) 09:00, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
