Since when chief producers are not producers?

Since when chief producers are not producers? - The editor of this article in zhwiki, Hijk910 (talk) 09:44, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Chief producers have never been credited in the infoboxes as producers. Regardless of whether or not they're any form of producers, they're just not to be credited. Kouji Yamamoto is not credited for Psycho-Pass, the plethora of "chief producers" on the Fairy Tail franchise are not credited, we're only crediting producers. We do not credit "associate producers", we do not credit "assistant producers", we do not credit "animation producers", we do not credit "general producers", we do not credit "chief producers." We credit "producers", which is what I have been consistently adding onto the article. All other forms of "producer", are irrelevant to the infobox. ”Chief producers” are producers, but more senior than the others. Chief producers are consistently referred as “producers” when it is not necessary to specify they are the “chief” ones. For example: [1]. -Hijk910 (talk) 10:02, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That doesn't matter. Let's look at Land of the Lustrous: Katsuhiro Takei and Kiyotaka Waki are both referred to as "producers" during press releases, on some articles, and all that, but neither of them are the producers we should credit. Katsuhiro Takei has the プロデュース (produce) credit, and Kiyotaka Waki has the 制作プロデューサー (production generalization) credit. But this doesn't mean they are the producers we list on Wikipedia. Regardless of what anyone calls them, their official credits are 制作プロデューサー and プロデュース. So, in Land of the Lustrous' case, the producer credit is given to the 9 people who have the プロデューサー credit (Youko Baba (馬場楊子), Maya Fujino (藤野麻耶), Hiroshi Kamei (亀井博司), Tomoyo Kamiji (上治知世), Hirotaka Kaneko (金子広孝), Mika Shimizu (清水美佳), Yuuichi Tada (多田祐一), Yoshihiko Yamazaki (山崎慶彦), and Kento Yoshida (吉田健人)). Chief producers are "producers", but they don't belong in the infobox. I'm going to re-add the producers I've listed, because that is not up to debate, so please stop reverting those edits. The two chief producers you keep mentioning don't belong in the infobox. Sarcataclysmal (talk) 10:08, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I deem it is just your own opinion on how to use the infobox. -Hijk910 (talk) 10:11, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It's really not. Look at the page for Attack on Titan, Land of the Lustrous, Girls Bravo, Fullmetal Alchemist, any Ghibli film. We never list the other "producer" credits, we only list the main one. And this has stayed true throughout a majority of Wikipedia anime/manga articles. It's not an opinion, this is what has been deemed as correct. Sarcataclysmal (talk) 10:15, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
May I have a few examples of “chief producers” not listed in the infobox first? -Hijk910 (talk) 10:28, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And since when chief producers are not the main producers? -Hijk910 (talk) 10:38, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
These all have peopled credited as Chief Producers (チーフプロデューサー), and they're not in the infoboxes. Psycho-Pass: Kouji Yamamoto. Haikyu!! season 1: Satoshi Adachi, Masanori Fujita, Yoshihiro Furusawa, Hiroo Maruyama, and Katsuji Morishita. Scum's Wish: Masanori Miyake and Akitoshi Mori. Great Pretender: Yukiko Takase and Hitoshi Itou.
And since when are the "chief producers" the "main producers"? They never have been, since the credit was first used in the anime industry. What about those credited for "produce", or "animation producer", or "production generalization", couldn't they also be the "main producer"? After all, they're all called "producers" too. Regardless, we list "producers", and that credit must be プロデューサー, everything else is unneeded. "Chief producers" don't even show up on a majority of series, either, so like, the claim that they're the "main producers" doesn't work here, because "producer" is the normal, main credit.
