[edit]I was just wandering randomly, and I happened to notice that the sound file is something that doesn't occur on my comp. Maybe it's just me, but .ogg is a pretty rare file type. RSido 23:05, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
Tsk
[edit]It seems to me that the tsk sound is post-alveolar, not dental. —Largo Plazo (talk) 12:33, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, it is often alveolar or even post-alveolar, the laminal sounds such as the French and Spanish "dentals" which are sometimes called "denti-alveolar". We mention this in the article, but I'm creating a dedicated link. kwami (talk) 18:05, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
IPA I / IPA II
[edit]What is the difference between IPA I and IPA II? There is no explanation of the numbers on any IPA-related page. Are they just being used to show different transcriptions, or are they specific standards? Zyxw59 (talk) 17:10, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
- Where did you see IPA I and IPA II? It is new to me. -DePiep (talk) 20:33, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, just different transcription conventions. They could be 'A' and 'B' if you prefer. — kwami (talk) 02:13, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
- I get it. -DePiep (talk) 13:49, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
Exact meaning
[edit]Hallo,
there’s the Unicode character »LATIN LETTER DENTAL CLICK«. Can anyone tell me what it means exactly? Does it mean:
- the latin letter called »dental click«
or
- the dental click of a latin letter
?

Isn’t all voiced/nasal clicks prevoiced/prenasalized
[edit]Well so all clicks aren’t made from the lungs and that all clicks cannot be voiced in the middle, right? Lerutas (talk) 07:12, 20 November 2018 (UTC)
Pronounciation in the recording
[edit]I don't think the pronounciation in the recording is correct. I think the recording gives a lateral click — Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.42.73.55 (talk • contribs) 09:44, 27 July 2019 (UTC)
