Full name?

[edit]

Shouldn't this be "Department of Defence Directive 2310" ? I suspect alot of non-US people wouldn't know what "DoD" was, or would associate it with something else. 68.39.174.238 02:30, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Original directive

[edit]

The article says that the directive was revised in 2006 in response to torture allegations and what the CIA termed Enhanced interrogation techniques but it does not specify what the directive contained before 2006. I found this document online: [1] which seems to be the original version. If that is so, the directive was adopted in August 1994. It references the Geneva Convention but does not go into any detail about interrogation techniques. Still it may be a starting point for an extension of this article by anyone with knowledge about this directive and its application. --Proofreader (talk) 01:45, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
