The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted as long as the latter page exists.

I have proposed a merge of Department of the Missouri (Indian Wars) into this article, which is more or less back to square one after I created Military Division of the Missouri to correct errors of assumption and assertion that somehow that organization was the same as this one, only "still known as" the Department of the Missouri.--Reedmalloy (talk) 06:33, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
