[edit]As part of my behavioral ecology course, I started this page as this fly was referenced in others, but did not have its own page. I added the following sections: general description that included sexual dimorphism as a subsection, food resources, mating that included morphology, fighting, courtship, mate guarding, sexual conflict, social behavior, enemies, and one on the lifespan in captivity vs the wild. I had checked the wiki commons but had trouble looking for an image to add to the taxa box. I got my information from reading academic articles found on google scholar which I cited.Srivera2019 (talk) 04:41, 2 October 2019 (UTC)
Overall, the article was really good. Sources were strong and citations were in order. Most of the corrections were editing writing style to better fit with the Wikipedia writing style. These edits included taking out extra words such as “Researchers observed” and “In the same vein”. These edits help make the article more clear, concise, and professional sounding. I was able to add a few images of T. angusticollis to help bring the article to life and intrigue readers into better understanding and reading more about this fly. In addition, I edited some of your headings and subheadings to better reflect the content written below each one. Most of your headings were well written, but I hope that there will be more additions beyond the Mating heading. These could include, but not limited to Nonsexual Morphology, Taxonomy, and Distribution/Habitat. It's a great start overall, but with consistent additions could be greatly improved! I made some grammatical fixes to the page, and otherwise worked to have the page better fit Wikipedia guidelines, e.g. by removing use of direct quotes and adding in external links to other Wikipedia pages. I also added some additional content to the page using some additional sources that I was able to locate on the fly's behavior. I discovered a paper that talked about the fly's possible telegony, and how this theory fits into the observed polyandrous behavior of the fly. I also found an additional source that discusses the difference between poor vs. rich diet conditions, and how these impact future survivability. I incorporated this into the Food Resources section. Hi Suleima, great start with this entry! There were several instances in the article where the fly species’ name was not italicized, so I went through the entry and italicized all the ones I could find. I also internally linked several additional words in the article to existing Wikipedia entries, modifying a few of the internal links that were already there so that the first occurrence of the word in the article was the one that was linked (rather than the second or third). I also proofread the entry for overall grammar and clarity to improve the readability of the article. RappaiT (talk) 05:25, 4 December 2019 (UTC)
