[edit]He briefly had his own television show of some sort after radio. anyone know anything about this? 24.202.13.239 00:52, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
That was me, not logged in. I don't want to be mean, I liked listening to Don Harron when I was a kid, but i recall a terribly embarrasing episode of Harron's TV interview show and I am just cruel enough, on WikiTabloid, to wonder if that is why his show was cancelled. - Harron was brought in as a last-minute replacement for Alan Thicke after Thick quit his CTV talk show in order to host the ill-fated Thicke of the Night in the US. The Don Harron Show aired on CTV for a couple years in the mid 1980s. 68.146.70.124 (talk) 13:17, 1 April 2014 (UTC)
Other work
[edit]Some mention should be made of Harron's books, albums and stage shows. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.193.128.193 (talk) 03:53, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
"Performed for the last time"
[edit]As Harron is still alive, we can't say "performed publicly for the last time in Canada." It also begs the question as to whether he's performed in other countries since. If the 2011 performance of Charlie was promoted/announced as being his farewell appearance as the character, then this should be mentioned, with source to satisfy WP:BLP. 68.146.70.124 (talk) 13:17, 1 April 2014 (UTC)
Pronunciation
[edit]"FAR-KWAR-SON" - that may be the way people in the UK pronounce that name, but it is NOT the way the Canadian character and his Canadian fans pronounce it. Where on earth did that second "R" come from? Check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGnwFl6vK2Q No "R"! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.88.8.190 (talk) 21:57, 15 October 2014 (UTC)

CBC's Morningside
[edit]I remember when I was a kid in the 1970's and 1980's, Harron hosted Morningside from 9-12 am weekdays for a few years. I don't remember the actual years, as I was usually in school when he was on, but the times I did catch it, he was doing it straight. There were no references to Charlie. Does somebody have a reference to his time on radio? Nutster (talk) 17:23, 8 July 2018 (UTC)
