A tea with so(too) many names

[edit]

We need to keep track of all the names as are the same tea, heavily fermented, non-roasted, tip-type oolong. (in Chinese: Dong Fang Mei Ren tea) traditionally known as Oriental Beauty or more recently White Tip Oolong, in Chinese: Bai Hao Oolong tea, Pon Fon Cha( 膨風茶old Taiwanese term), Boast tea, Champagne Oolong. icetea8 (talk) 12:00, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Queen Elizabeth II?

[edit]

Not if it was named in the early 20th century. Perhaps Queen Elizabeth, the wife of George VI and the current queen's mother? Or Queen Mary, her grandmother? A tea merchant in Kuala Lumpur told me it was Queen Victoria. In any case, the origin of the name seems highly anecdotal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.48.34.38 (talk) 15:45, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Oriental beauty tea elizabeth" returns 1.23M hits on Google, "oriental beauty tea victoria" returns 1.98M. I've only ever read the "Queen of England" story on the Internet, I haven't heard it here in Taiwan. But maybe I haven't talked to the right people. 123.240.107.164 (talk) 04:00, 19 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

chemical(s) involved

[edit]

"production of monoterpene diol and hotrienol..." 'Monoterpene' and 'diol' are classes of chemicals, not a specific chemical. Perhaps this should read "...production of the monoterpene diol hotrienol...". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:600:9F7F:9F40:D250:99FF:FEC2:1781 (talk) 06:54, 2 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
