Inscription above the chair

[edit]

I am curious why isn't mentioned the inscriptions above the Duke's chair?

Here is the close up

And here is the older version - to compare or to read the whole inscription. In latin sources was known as "Sedez tribunalis" (tribunalni sedež in slovene); "seat of the justice"...

http://shrani.si/f/3a/KU/2QHdRjnk/stones.png (the right seat is the Palatin's; the inscription "Ma sveti Veri & Veri means "it has holy faith", "faith"; it does not mean that the message of the "faith" was constructed in Christian era; the term faith (Vera) actually predates christianity) Let's see the inscription

It is written: "SUDONIG UHDUK"; which can be today transliterated into Slovene as "Sodnik hudega" (u(i)dega in eastern dialects); "Judge of the crime"

You can notice the letter "N" (this is 5th letter from the left) which was written in partially Venetic shape(the alphabet died out in 1st century AD) and letter Y which was similar to Venetic G).
