Eastern Railroad (Massachusetts) → Eastern Railroad – This appears to be the only major railroad operating under the name "Eastern Railroad" (Google Books search results). The disambiguation page Eastern Railway and List of Pennsylvania railroads state that there was another Eastern Railroad in Pennsylvania that was leased by the Monongahela Connecting Railroad, but it is difficult to corroborate this. Google Books search results for "'Eastern Railroad' Pennsylvania" mostly give information about the Eastern Railroad in New England and Google search results give information about other railroads, so it is likely that if the Pennsylvania railroad existed, it was a minor operation. Additionally, since the Eastern Railroad operated across three New England states – Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine – it would make sense to move the page to a title that didn't only reference Massachusetts. The target page currently redirects to the Eastern Railway disambiguation page. Vejlenser (talk) 18:07, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
- Support: This makes lots of sense; with the PA railroad still a redlink it's highly unlikely that this isn't the primary topic. Might be good to then have Eastern Railroad (disambiguation) to put the PA company, the Eastern Railroad of Long Island redirect, and possibly also the dozen or so 'XXX and Eastern Railroad' articles.
