Free trade zone?

[edit]
I believe there is also a free trade zone or something of the nature near the bayfront.--trey 18:15, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There's an Erie Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) at the Port of Erie see FTZ and there's talk of a zone of some sort at the Erie Airport as part of expansion plans. I'm not sure if those plans are still viable after the Germans allegedly canceled the deal at the airport.
Transportation as means of conveyence belongs under Transportation of Erie, while transportation as industry likely belongs here.
I'm not sure where public utilities belong, btw. If we dealt with transportation as a sub-heading of Infrastructure, we could include utilities there as well. --Pat 08:22, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I recently removed 2 external links from the article. Pat replied to me on my talk page as follows:

The links you removed provided useful additional information on the Erie economy. Maybe the wording looked like an advertisement, but the links highlight state development programs in Pennsylvania. You might have relocated the links to the External links section at the bottom instead of deleting them. I placed the links in context for ease of use.
I agree with relocating them to the external links section. I removed the links because the root site was already referenced in the same section. I am fine with having these links in the article since they are not commercial sites. Anshuk (talk) 20:07, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
