Hi. Those aren't actually errors--those are tags added by other editors, like myself. We add these to indicate things that need to be improved in the article. When the problems associated with those tags are fixed, the tags can be removed--but you shouldn't remove them until that point. I actually fixed several of them--it now has a lead section, it is in a more appropriate (but not perfect) tone, and I did a little Wikifying. It still cites no sources, however. This is because all information on Wikipedia that could be challenged should be verified by reliable sources. These sources could include books published by reliable companies, newspaper articles, professional journals, etc. If you know of some, but aren't sure how to add them, you can put them here and I'd be happy to help with the formatting.

Also, you probably saw that I made a lot of changes to the article. In part, those changes were to address the problems in the tags. In part, it was because a lot of the information I took out was not appropriate for a Wikipedia article--either because it was challengable and thus needed a source, or because it wasn't neutral. On the latter, all info in Wikipedia articles must be neutral--not praising or not condemning subjects. If there are reliable sources that say good things about this city, then we can reference those, but we can't make Wikipedia itself make claims of greatness.

Please continue to help improving the article--I'll be watching what changes are made, and watching here if you have any questions. Qwyrxian (talk) 14:12, 31 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Refimprove tag

[edit]

Thanks to the previous editor for adding more references. However, those references do not do enough to justify removal of the "refimprove" tag at the top of the article. The only thing those references verified are the existence of the town and the coming SIDCO project. Until the rest of the information in the article is verified by a reliable source, the tag should remain. Please note that this is a good thing for the article, because it invites new editors to come and keep improving the article with more and better sources. Right now, all of the lead, the educational, and the spiritual section is completely lacking in references, and until at least some of those are better sourced, the tag should remain. Please ask if you have questions. Qwyrxian (talk) 04:44, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reference Cleanup

[edit]

I cleaned up the in-text references; I haven't yet gotten to the ones in notes, yet. I had to remove some because they did not meet the requirements of WP:RS. Some of the remaining ones are borderline--for example, the list of leases is a primary document, and as such is not an ideal reference. But it's okay for now. One of the references I do need help on, though--the major crops was referenced by the Ministry of Rural Development site. Could someone identify the specific page on that site that talks about Elambalur? Thanks. Qwyrxian (talk) 00:03, 10 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Qwrixian Really thanks a lot for your efforts made by you to make this website for approval.. Now please let us know what we have done mistakes now and Please let us know if anymore things can be added for this website so that it gets 100% approval from Wikipedia.

Once again thanks a lot Qwrixian. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rskperfect (talkcontribs) 06:39, 10 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome!
Please note that open wikis (like The Full Wiki) cannot be used as reliable sources, because there is no way to verify the accuracy of the info (this is just like how Wikipedia itself cannot be a reference. Qwyrxian (talk) 23:26, 10 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

M. Rajaram

[edit]

That info cannot be in the lead. The source offered only states this about K. Rajaram (I'm assuming they're the same person),."The Perambalur panchayat union chairman, K. Rajaram, who happened to be a former Elambalur village panchayat president, points out that the SIDCO had disappointed not only the enthusiastic entrepreneurs but also traditional quarry workers. " That says nothing about him founding Elamabalur or the hamlets, so we cannot state that in the article. Furthermore, it gives him undue importance to include him but not other union leadersor village presidents. If someone has a source for a history of the village presidents, then we can create a new history section and include all of them. But it is unfair to highlight just one of many without evidence supporting him as being extra special. Qwyrxian (talk) 23:26, 10 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
