Extent of Scheme

[edit]

Although the Draft CP5 Enhancements Delivery Plan referred to in the notes clearly refers (p.45) to the electrification of the Reading - Basingstoke Line as part of this scheme (but suggests that it may not be delivered within CP5: see p.81), it would appear that First Great Western consider that this line will be electrified as part of the electrification of the Thames Valley branchlines (see https://www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk/About-Us/greater-west/bagw/LTV) and is due to be completed in stage 2 of that scheme. Is anyone able to explain this apparent discrepancy? Ntmr (talk) 13:53, 28 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The CP5 Enhancements Delivery Plan (March 2015) p.56 says "Electrification (25kv AC overhead) of the route between Reading (Southcote Junction) and Basingstoke: This scope of works for this scheme and its relevant milestones will be reported through the Thames Valley Branch Lines Electrification entry (Project reference code: W003)."Ingafube (talk) 08:35, 24 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I removed stub classification as it is clearly way beyond that 01:28, 2 March 2022 (UTC) GRALISTAIR (talk) 01:28, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
