Why this page deleted

[edit]

I wonder why you deleted this page for the first time? according to the reason mentioned that was copied from another website, I checked that website and it's not the same.

See the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Elissa (singer). The consensus there appears to be that there was a lack of reliable sources; the article relied heavily on fan sites. Even the current version only uses one reliable source; the second source does not appear to be reliable. —C.Fred (talk) 21:29, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Then why not wait until reliable sources were found? You can't rely on inexperienced editors to do the job, this article was deleted way prematurely. FunkMonk (talk) 17:39, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
See the discussion. One of the editors stated there weren't further sources to be found. —C.Fred (talk) 18:07, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
As I said, a single inexperienced editor can't be relied on to do such work. It is hard to find reliable sources in English about local Arabic celebrities, one has to know where to look. A simple search on websites of Arabic newspapers that have English editions (such as the Lebanese Daily Star) would had done the trick easily. FunkMonk (talk) 18:09, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
A quick search gives this: [1], [2], [3], — Preceding unsigned comment added by FunkMonk (talkcontribs) 18:14, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not all of which are substantial coverage or reliable sources. Besides, the AfD is over, it was closed as a delete, but an improved version of the article was created, so the article is where it "should" be right now. The AfD was closed properly, and I don't see any further need to rehash it. SKC.Fred (talk) 18:20, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm simply responding to your comment. What did you expect? FunkMonk (talk) 18:22, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

To Thamerr, if the deletion notice isn't in, no one can see it has been nominated, and can't vote "keep" even if they wanted. Per policy, any nomination should remain, whether it is valid or not. FunkMonk (talk) 23:22, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Reliable sources have been removed from the article, why? I expected the admin would go through every single source to check its validity, but apparently this hasn't happened. Please post the links here so the rest of us can evaluate them, they are inaccessible now since history had to be deleted from the article for some unclear reason, and not with any support. Date of birth

[edit]

Do we have a reliable, permissible source for her date of birth? The current date looks unsourced. A user attempted to change it, but the source he's citing is a scan of an ID card, and that's not permissible per WP:BLPPRIMARY. Do we have any secondary sources? —C.Fred (talk) 19:45, 9 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
