Timeline confusion

This article states that Elwing was born in Ossiriand, and that she escaped to the Havens of Sirion "when it was ruled by Earendil." These both conflict with the information in the Timeline of Arda article. According to the timeline, Elwing was born after Dior re-established Doriath (which would mean she was born there, not in Ossiriand). The timeline also shows that Elwing's escape to the Havens of Sirion happened before the destruction of Gondolin, meaning Earendil was not even there yet (much less "ruled," as he was only seven years old even when he did escape Gondolin). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cnanninga (talk • contribs) 19:57, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rubersan to improve article

Just to let interested parties know...

I'm new to Wikipedia and once I get time for some practice editing in sandboxes and whatnot I intend to improve this article as best I can, as it's rated as high importance, and its quality as it stands is not great. Rubersan the Red (talk) 13:35, 3 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
