Relationship to ESOP and Employee stock ownership

[edit]

What is the relationship between Employee Stock Ownership Plan and Employee stock ownership plans in the United States?

Options:

  1. Employee Stock Ownership Plan is an article with international scope, whereas Employee stock ownership plans in the United States is a more specific subtopic with national scope (Implied by current titles})
  2. Employee stock ownership plans in the United States covers any form of employee ownership of company stock, whereas Employee Stock Ownership Plan is a more specific subtopic of a particular scheme for employee ownership of company stock (What Employee stock ownership plans in the United States currently says)

If the answer is number 2, I believe that Employee stock ownership plans in the United States actually has the same scope as Employee stock ownership except an additional constraint of being limited to the United States. If this is the case, then I propose that Employee stock ownership plans in the United States be moved to Employee stock ownership in the United States

I would like to clarify this on Wikipedia and on Wikidata. Daask (talk) 21:33, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
