Is it allowed to upload public domain images from the Europeana website to Wikimedia Commons? Wiki-uk (talk) 14:21, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Presumably so, see commons:Template:Anonymous-EU and similar templates. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 21:52, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
What about Database rights under EU law...? Lithoderm 21:32, 3 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Success of Europeana

Where can we find usage statistics for this service? With Jill Cousins appearing on youtube telling us all that nobody is interested, does this service represent value for money? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.238.76.47 (talk) 06:19, 5 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This article likely built by Europeana staff and affiliates

For evidence see here. I have placed a COI flag on the article. - 2001:558:1400:10:AC79:7A9:FAF6:9668 (talk) 18:19, 29 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I noticed that. I've taken it off because I think that in general the practice is to place COI tags in situations in which COI is acknowledged and admitted by the editors involved. I'm not comfortable with somebody going out and "sleuthing" and then tagging an article for COI. I've raised the issue at COI/N, and if they feel the tag belongs then it should certainly go back on. I agree that the references are lacking and also that in general this is a pretty bad article. Coretheapple (talk) 23:54, 29 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I've added tags for notability and sourcing. Even though I have qualms about this article, I really don't like the grandstanding way this issue was raised by the IP. Coretheapple (talk) 23:57, 29 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

pronounciation -

[edit]

It would be good to place - in accordance with the good routine throughout the en.wikipedia - the IPA for Europeana at the beginning of the article. Is ist indeed /ˈjʊərəpia:ana/? - If so just do what Rummenigge did - "put it in". If not plz put in something else. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.123.123.151 (talk) 10:55, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
