Birth date and age

[edit]

An editor has expressed that the full name Felicity Alice Jones and birthdate 19 January 1984 from the source Births, Marriages & Deaths Index of England & Wales, 1984-2004. is not accurate. I'm also not sure how accurate that source is, or if it is the same Felicity Jones, so have removed it per WP:BLP until a higher quality reference shows up. I have left in 1984, as it has been published by PBS.[1] dissolvetalk 18:37, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The next Star Wars 'spin-off' (Dec.2016) will make Felicity Jones even more popular!

Collide 2016 or 2017?

[edit]

So in Jones' filmography, Collide is listed for 2016 but is given 2017 as a year on Nicholas Hoult's page. It was released in some countries in 2016, but it's going to be released in the United States this year. What year should be used in the filmography? The pages for the cast should at least be consistent with each other. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.63.50.80 (talk) 11:03, 29 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Star Wars: Forces of Destiny

[edit]

Isn't this going to be a Web series and not a TV show? Govvy (talk) 19:43, 6 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Display Picture Captioning

[edit]

@Krimuk2.0: I believe details may be omitted in the captioning of a profile picture in the name of simplicity if the former does not add important details. In her case, it writes "Jones at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival" instead of simply saying "Jones in 2016". Mentioning about the TIFF is irrelevant here as it is a portrait picture and does not show any signs of her being specifically at the said event. Streetsoda (talk) 15:30, 26 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

By that logic, does it display specific signs of her being in 2016? Krimuk2.0 (talk) 16:03, 26 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Honestly, I am a proponent for not having a caption at all unless it is deemed integral to the story. For instance if an individual is dressed up like during the academy awards, it makes sense to display the event as well. In this case, mentioning the year let the viewer know how she looked in said year. Any extra detail is unnecessary since it is a close-up revealing no more than her unassuming face. Streetsoda (talk) 14:31, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Unless the caption is unnecessary long and distracting, there are better things we can focus our energies on. Cheers! Krimuk2.0 (talk) 15:09, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Attention to detail remain important especially when the logic is scaled up to every wiki page. I however do not intend on engaging in an edit war. Hope someone else comes along and makes sense of this. Peace ✌️ Streetsoda (talk) 16:15, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Filmography

What was the point in splitting that off into another article, it wasn't even that big. Govvy (talk) 09:06, 24 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
