Friday Club

[edit]

The Friday Club is an e-community of local people from Fence and surrounding areas who meet up regularly online to discuss things. Started in circa 2006 as a means of discussing weekend plans between just 3 of the founding members (G Bann GBR, J Stevenson GBR and D Wheeler GBR), the community has now grown to 7 regular members and a few occasional guests as well. In the past they have held Creative Writing competitions, quizes, and games etc. They regularly meet up in the village of Fence, especially at weekends. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thestripedzebra (talk contribs) 10:00, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is an online community of 7 people either noteworthy or encyclopaedic? Why is this in the main article? Are the three founding members notable for anything other than that they chat to each other online? If not, why are they even mentioned by name? KEFIF

[edit]

Has this initiative been taken up by the other 1,579 residents, or is it just confined to the 7 pals who spend their time chatting online? As it stands, it looks very much like someone desperately trying to get themselves noted, which has no place in an encyclopedia. Put it on Facebook!
