Merge proposal

[edit]

I propose that this article be merged with Erotic humiliation. The page has been already deleted before for lack of credible sources. This fetish does exist, but there is no evidence that it has any more relevance than the existence of a few bloggers/scammers who are content to take money from unhappy men. Moreover, I do not think this fetish deserves its own article more than, say, small penis humiliation, which has also been merged within "erotic humiliation". Merge not

[edit]

You propose this article be merged because it had a redirect previously (which you were obviously the author of). However, Erotic Humiliation had no mention of this particular fetish, which indeed (even if you obviously don't believe) exists. Financial domination has, in fact, nothing to do with taking money from "unhappy men." Clearly you are not experienced in this particular brand of BDSM or unfortunately are not intimately familiar with this particular genre. However, if your experience was indeed unpleasant, that should not deter you from supporting a reference article - since that is what wikipedia consists of. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.138.171.1 (talk) 04:45, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Of it's own...

[edit]

I think this category should not be merged because it's a fetish all on it's own. I have been a financial dominatrix before it was an actual term. When I started doing this online, only a few other girls and I were domming men. NiteFlirt didn't even have a financial domination category and it was ran by Keen! I wouldn't call it erotic - because not all FemDom's use that method to manipulate guys. It was only recently that I started doing small penis humiliation videos - and those I would consider erotic humiliation for sure! That's my opinion - and remember, the domme is always right! xoxo Princess Jersey Princessjersey (talk) 16:59, 30 September 2010 (UTC)PrincessJersey[reply]

Findom the other way?

[edit]

Presumably this could also be worked with the giver of money as the dom, using the ostentatious giving of money as a way to humiliate its receiver? -- The Anome (talk) 23:55, 13 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Fetish?

[edit]

In sexual fetishism, a person experiences sexual arousal by handling objects like rubber clothing or non-genital body parts. If financial domination where a sexual fetish, the person would be aroused by the handling of money, not by the giving or receiving of it. But people engaging in financial submission (the paying persons) experience sexual arousal through humiliation. At least that is how they describe it. And sexual arousal through humiliation is one possible aspect or variant of masochism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.2.86.153 (talk) 15:07, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Bullshit

[edit]

This is some bullshit 213.207.186.8 (talk) 02:19, 6 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Why? Me and many other persons just tried to describe this phenomenon as realistic as possible. Murkus69 (talk) 00:54, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Gender?

[edit]

Can the article be a bit more nuanced with the gender? Men can be also victims of findom, and the traits are similarly predatory. I write this having talked to guys who have explored it and hated feeling so used. I’d hate for them to think that only women can be victims, not that I’m trying to take away from any women who have experienced this. Hurricanehink mobile (talk) 22:50, 11 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You didn"t read the artcle thoroughly enough. In the vast majotity of cases, men are exploited by women in Findom. It is also questionable whether one should speak of victims in this context. Murkus69 (talk) 18:52, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong!

[edit]

This whole thing is wrong..what it is describing is a gold digger. Findom financial domination. Keyword financial. It was when when gives over complete control of all their finances. Which means they control all aspects..bills..rent..spending.. etc etc. it's not just give me money and gifts. Thats always been a gold digger. Somewhere along the lines it got twisted.
