Renaming of this article
[edit]"Fighter pilot helmet" is a really sophomoric title for an item of equipment used by more than just fighter crews. "Flight Helmet" would be more appropriate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.253.69.199 (talk) 07:45, 1 December 2009 (UTC)

Missing: Japanese and German flying helmets
[edit]With the exception of the photograph of an early German flying helmet, there is no mention of what German and Japanese pilots wore. For example, I recall an image of a Japanese helmet which had separate eyepieces hanging down from the brow. Humphrey Tribble (talk) 05:53, 26 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Humphrey Tribble: Unfortunately, in the U.S. at least, images from the WW2 era (if that's what you're talking about) are still within the term of copyright protection. It would be good to find such images—if they are in the public domain or are under a Creative Commons license. —RCraig09 (talk) 17:25, 26 August 2023 (UTC)
