Move to Florida, Cochrane District

[edit]

Courtesy ping @Magnolia677: There are two dispersed rural communities in Ontario called Florida: the one in this article in Cochrane District; and a second in Kingston, Ontario, in southern Ontario — see CGNDB entry FBEMF. I suggest moving this article to Florida, Cochrane District. --papageno (talk) 19:10, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Qui1che: There isn't an article yet about the Florida in Kingston. Why don't we wait until there is a need to disambiguate the article beyond the province, per WP:CANSTYLE#Article names? Magnolia677 (talk) 21:01, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Magnolia677: Thanks for your reply. I guess I was asking to read between the lines that I was ready to create such an article. I had already added both to Wikidata (this Florida, which would of course have eventually been picked up automatically from the Wikipedia article you created; and the settlement in Kingston) about a month ago, and am preparing to add the Kingston one to Wikipedia. However, I would like the nomenclature of the two to be parallel, hence my asking here. One could adopt: Florida, Northern Ontario and Florida, Southern Ontario; or Florida, Northeastern Ontario and Florida, Eastern Ontario; or Florida, Cochrane District and Florida, Frontenac County. I prefer the last, second the middle, but even the first would be sufficient for disambiguation purposes. Regards, --papageno (talk) 22:41, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Qui1che: Ah, yes of course. The names should default to the next administrative level, like Maple Hill, Ontario. Good luck with the article. Cheers. Magnolia677 (talk) 22:54, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
