Comment on Patrick Carpentier

[edit]

The arcticle states that Patrick Carpentier jumped ship to the IRL, which might lead the Carpentier voluntarily left the team to join the IRL. Now if my memory is right Carpentier was not resigned by Forsythe and joined Cheever Racing after he was freed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.82.155.2 (talk) 05:54, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It could be read that way, however, the fact is that Carpentier did indeed jump ship to the IRL. He didn't sign on with another Champ Car team. -Drdisque (talk) 00:39, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
He did not jump ship, no CART team offered him a drive. --Shawa666 (talk) 21:39, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Added a POV-section tag. I still think that wether or not he left the series voluntarily or not, the statement is pejorative. --Shawa666 (talk) 08:40, 3 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I altered the wording from "jumped ship to the IRL" to "was hired by Cheever Racing of the rival Indy Racing League" to neutralise the POV. Would it be agreed that this re-phrasing is neutral? 97.125.92.13 (talk) 04:21, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
