Origin of name
[edit]Despite what's written in the source http://www.buffaloah.com/h/eastside/fruit.html, I learned that the "Fruit Belt" was named simply for the names of the streets, not that there were orchards in this particular section of the city. And looking at the names of the streets, it's not likely that there were orange and lemon orchards here in Buffalo. With all due respect to James Napora-- and it would be good to confirm this-- I think that the developers simply named a series of streets with fruit tree (and non-fruit bearing tree!) names, and the familiar designation stuck. I'm not going to change this until I have some verification, but it doesn't sound right to me. Jkgree (talk) 19:31, 7 May 2019 (UTC)
