Messerschmitt

[edit]

The reasoning for the Messerschmitt is Twofold.

The first, is that She does call it as such when she formally introduces herself in an earlier episode.

Secondly, it also holds to the theme of the Techodes being named after WWII fighters, namely, the P-38 Lightning, A6M Zero, P-47 Thunderbolt, and Nakajima Ki-84 "Hayate".

And of course, the Messerschmitt Bf 109 (Or the Messerschmitt Bf 110) SAMAS 21:00, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, lessee.

1. I don't call her "Aiko Mary Harmony" in the summary; after introducing her, I just call her Aiko. It's not necessary to write out the character's full name more than a few times. Since in the show, the Techode is usually just called Messah, I consider this to be the normal form of its name, and 'Messah Schmidt' to be the full form of its name. This was my logic in reverting a while back...was I wrong? 2. The official romanisation on the R1 DVDs is Messah Schmidt, and since the policy is usually to use the most common name (unfortunately, rather than the one that fits the neat little theme), that's what I think we should use. Granted, 'Messah' might be a wee error on the part of Geneon, but if that's the most well-known name, that can't really be helped. Granted, verification might be difficult if there was a WWII fighter that had the same name (that'd make Google searches pretty hard). When I have the time, I'll hunt around for fansites and see which name they use. I promise that if most fansites use Messerschmidt, I'll change each instance of the name without further complaint, so don't worry. I honestly appreciate the fact that you're trying to intelligently and politely prove your point instead of just shouting at me, by the way. Thanks a lot. ^_^--Tally Solleni 16:38, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"On The Series"

[edit]

I have removed the "On the Series" section of this article. While quite well-written, it was essentially a review of the series and was entirely subjective, and as such is not appropriate for a Wikipedia article. 206.176.160.169 16:40, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
