Would it not be better to have a single article for both HRH Prince George and Lt George, as with Melchett? It seems a bit confusing :/ RHB 19:00, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Having two stubs seems a bit pointless when you can have one better article †he Bread 22:43, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"St Bartleigh"

[edit]

The end credits in Blackadder Goes Forth give his name as "Lieutenant The Honourable George Colthurst St Barleigh" (no t). I'm changing the spelling through the whole article accordingly. Opera hat (talk) 13:43, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Leftenant vs Lieutenant

[edit]

Considering that this article is about a British actor playing a British officer in a British television show, shouldn't he be referred to as Leftenant rather than Lieutenant? He is referred to as Leftenant on the show by the other characters as well. --118.210.72.153 (talk) 17:35, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You'd think so, but no. The word lieutenant is pronounced differently in American English from British English (or English language forms of other Commonwealth nations), but it's spelt the same way—lieutenant—in each. –Whitehorse1 10:46, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move

[edit]

George (Blackadder character)George (Blackadder) — The disambiguation should be changed to match the disambiguation of Darling (Blackadder), Prince Edmund (Blackadder) and all the others with a Blackadder disambiguation. McLerristarr | Mclay1 14:14, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As this is unopposed after 7 days and uncontroversial, I'll move it now. --Mkativerata (talk) 00:32, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
