Scope

[edit]

The scope of this article seems to be somewhat confused. It explains how the Olympic representation of Germany worked from 1956 to 1964, outlines that West Germany won the qualification game, and that East Germany won the right for representation in 1960 and 1964. The table below then states that Germany "did not qualify". Huh? Germany did qualify and was represented by the team from East Germany. Any issues with the table being corrected? The article appears factually incorrect. According to this source, there was no play-off in 1956 but the East Germans simply gave up with the negotiations and the West German team then represented. And in 1960, it was West Germany that won the play-offs, but the team then failed in the European qualification round. Schwede66 01:38, 4 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Article and table are now correct for 1956 to 1964. I wonder what else is wrong... Schwede66 17:21, 4 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
East Germany won the 1964 qualification match, therefore a note here should suffice, with the relevant information on 1964 being included on East Germany Olympic football team. S.A. Julio (talk) 18:09, 4 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
